Refund policy
Effective Date: April 15, 2026
At Partsyx, our goal is to provide you with the right part the first time. This Return and Refund Policy explains the conditions under which returns are accepted, the fees that apply, and the process for requesting a refund. By placing an order with Partsyx, you agree to the terms described below.
Return Window
You may request a return within 30 days of the delivery date. Return requests submitted after the 30-day window will not be accepted. The returned merchandise must be received by Partsyx within 30 days of the original delivery date.
Store Credit Refunds
For eligible returns, we offer an incentive to accept store credit instead of a cash refund:
- Store credit: You receive 110% of the eligible refund amount as Partsyx store credit (+10% bonus). No restocking fee applies to store credit refunds.
- Cash refund: Refunded to your original payment method, subject to the fees described below.
Store credit never expires and may be applied toward any future purchase at partsyx.com.
Return shipping back to Partsyx is paid by the customer for all refund types, including store credit.
Cash Refund Fees
If you elect a cash refund instead of store credit, the following fees and deductions apply:
- Restocking fee: 20% of the product price
- Return shipping: Paid by the customer (you ship back at your own cost)
Damaged on Arrival or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged in transit or you received the wrong item, notify us within 7 days of delivery. Claims submitted after 7 days may be denied. To qualify for coverage of return shipping costs on these claims, you must provide:
- Clear photos of the damaged product from multiple angles
- Photos of the shipping box, exterior damage, and internal packaging
- Photos of the shipping label and any carrier damage documentation
- A description of the damage or incorrect item
Approved damaged-on-arrival or wrong-item claims are resolved at Partsyx’s discretion by:
- Shipping a replacement part once the original is confirmed in transit back to us (preferred), OR
- Issuing a store credit for the eligible refund amount, OR
- Issuing a cash refund only if a replacement cannot be provided.
If the damage is determined upon inspection to have been caused by installation, customer handling, or post-delivery events, the claim will be denied and the item will be subject to the standard restocking fee if returned.
Warranty Claims (Separate from Returns)
Our limited parts warranty is separate from this return policy. Warranty claims are resolved by replacement or store credit only — no cash refunds are issued under warranty. A returned part claimed under warranty requires proof of defect documented by a licensed mechanic or repair shop. See our Warranty Policy for full terms.
The limited warranty is not a return policy. Please do not request a return for parts that have been installed and used for more than 30 days — those claims fall under warranty.
Non-Returnable Items
The following are NOT eligible for return and will not be refunded, exchanged, or credited:
- Items returned after the 30-day window
- Items that have been installed, modified, disassembled, or altered in any way
- Items with broken seals, removed serial numbers, or damaged identifying labels
- Items returned without prior authorization (see below)
- Items with missing components, accessories, or original packaging
- Electrical parts that have been energized or connected to a vehicle’s electrical system
- Programmed or coded modules (PCM, ECM, BCM, TCM, etc.) once programmed
- Fluid-containing parts (transmissions, differentials, master cylinders, etc.) returned without original fluid or with contamination
- Special-order, custom-sourced, or drop-shipped parts marked “Final Sale” at purchase
- Labor, diagnostic, towing, programming, rental, downtime, or any other related costs
Return Authorization Required
All returns require prior written authorization from Partsyx. To request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA):
- Email support@partsyx.com within 30 days of delivery.
- Include your full name, order number, reason for return, and photos of the item.
- A Partsyx representative will respond within 2 business days with an RMA number and return instructions.
- Ship the item to the return address provided with the RMA (NOT the address on the original packaging box).
Returns received without an RMA number will be refused or discarded at our discretion.
Return Shipping Requirements
When shipping your return, you must:
- Use a trackable shipping method (USPS, UPS, or FedEx)
- Provide signature confirmation for items valued over $100
- Package the item securely in its original packaging with all accessories
- Share the tracking number with us within 3 business days of shipping
- Ensure the item is in the same condition as received
Partsyx is not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit. You may wish to insure high-value returns through your carrier.
Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
If a package is refused by the recipient or returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect shipping address provided at checkout, the order will be treated as a standard return subject to the 20% restocking fee. Customers may also be charged actual reshipment costs if they wish to receive the item after a refused/undeliverable event.
Order Cancellations
Orders can be cancelled free of charge only within 2 hours of placing the order, provided the order has not yet entered fulfillment. After 2 hours, or once an order has been picked, packed, or shipped, the order cannot be cancelled and will be subject to the standard return policy and associated fees if returned.
Inspection and Refund Timing
Once your authorized return is received, Partsyx will inspect the item within up to 10 business days to verify eligibility. After inspection:
- Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
- Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund.
If the returned item does not pass inspection (e.g., missing components, damage not disclosed at RMA request, evidence of installation, etc.), we will notify you by email within 5 business days of inspection completion. You will have 30 days to arrange return shipment to you at your expense. If no arrangement is made within 30 days, the item will be disposed of or resold, and no refund will be issued.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge through your bank or credit card issuer instead of following the return process described above, you waive your right to a refund under this policy. Partsyx will provide the issuing bank with complete documentation of the transaction, including order confirmation, delivery confirmation, and this policy. We reserve the right to pursue recovery of costs associated with fraudulent chargebacks.
