Warranty policy

1 Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty

Every part sold by Partsyx is guaranteed to be in proper working condition at the time of purchase and includes a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty against functional failure caused by a defect, beginning on the delivery date.

Warranty coverage is limited to the original purchaser only, is non-transferable, and applies only while you still own the vehicle the part was installed on.

This is a PARTS ONLY warranty. NO LABOR costs are covered.

Important: This warranty is separate from our Returns Policy. A part that arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect must be reported as a return within 30 days of delivery — see Refund Policy.

Warranty Remedy

If a claim is approved, the remedy is replacement of the part with a comparable used OEM part. If a comparable replacement is unavailable, store credit equal to the original part purchase price will be issued. No cash refunds are issued under warranty.

Maximum liability is limited to the original purchase price of the part. Labor, diagnostic fees, towing, fluids, programming, rental cars, downtime, and any incidental or consequential costs are not covered.

Commercial, Fleet, and For-Hire Use

Any part installed on a commercial, fleet, ride-share, delivery, or other for-hire vehicle is covered for 90 days from the date of delivery instead of 1 year, regardless of part type. Partsyx does not warrant parts installed on vehicles operated for compensation beyond this 90-day window.

Installation Requirements

To qualify for warranty coverage:

  1. Installation must be completed within 30 days of delivery.
  2. Installation must be performed by an ASE-certified mechanic at an ASE-certified repair facility.
  3. The vehicle must be properly diagnosed and the failure documented as a part defect by the installing facility.
  4. The installer must clear all related fault codes after install.
  5. The vehicle must be properly maintained according to the manufacturer's recommended service intervals.
  6. You must stop operating the vehicle when symptoms of failure occur, to prevent additional damage.

If these requirements are not met, the warranty claim will be denied.

Claim Window

A warranty claim must be opened within 30 days of the part's diagnosed failure. A claim is considered "opened" on the date Partsyx responds to your initial warranty inquiry.

All required documentation must be submitted within 10 calendar days of the claim being opened. Claims with incomplete documentation beyond this window will be closed.

Required Documentation

To open a claim, all of the following are required:

  1. Order number and proof of delivery.
  2. Installation invoice on the repair facility's letterhead, dated within 30 days of delivery, showing:
    • Shop name, address, phone number, ASE certification number
    • Vehicle year, make, model, VIN
    • Installation date and odometer mileage at install
  3. Diagnostic report from the installing facility on letterhead, including symptoms, diagnostic steps, and supporting fault codes or measurements.
  4. Photos and video clearly showing the part installed in the vehicle and the failure condition.
  5. Proof that recommended vehicle maintenance has been performed.

Additional verification may be requested, including scan-tool screenshots, pressure tests, voltage readings, fluid condition photos, or other supporting evidence.

What Is Not Covered

Warranty coverage is denied for failure or damage caused by:

  • Improper installation, incorrect fitment selection, misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, or modification
  • Accidents, collisions, or vehicle damage from external causes
  • The vehicle being subject to a manufacturer recall affecting the failed part
  • Racing, off-road use, tuning, performance modifications, or non-OEM conversions
  • Installation in a vehicle other than the year, make, and model the part was OEM-designed for, unless Partsyx confirmed in writing that the part is interchangeable
  • The installer's failure to clear computer fault codes after installation
  • Overheating, oil starvation, contamination, incorrect fluids, low-fluid operation, improper bleeding, improper programming, or incorrect torque procedures
  • Damage from fire, theft, vandalism, weather, impact, corrosion, water intrusion, freezing, lightning, or other environmental exposure
  • Continuing to operate the vehicle after symptoms of failure begin, or after failure is suspected
  • Pre-existing vehicle issues or external causes unrelated to the part, including electrical faults, wiring issues, sensors, control modules, cooling system issues, drivetrain mounts, or other vehicle systems
  • Shipping damage, mishandling, or improper storage after delivery (file a freight claim within 48 hours)
  • Normal wear-and-tear consistent with the donor vehicle's age (gaskets, seals, belts, filters, fluids, bushings, bearings, cosmetic surface wear) unless explicitly stated in writing at time of sale
  • Convenience accessories sent with the primary part for installation purposes (these are not warranty-covered components)

Coverage Specifics for Assemblies

For axle assemblies, the warranty covers internal gears, axle shafts, axle tube and housing, spindle/knuckle assembly, and ring-and-pinion gear. It does NOT cover ABS components, sway bars, control arms, brake system components, leaf springs, shock absorbers, or CV shafts attached to the assembly.

For other multi-component assemblies (transfer cases, differentials, ABS modules, etc.), the warranty covers the primary mechanical or electronic function of the unit only. Attached sensors, switches, solenoids, harnesses, hoses, and external accessories are not covered.

Return of the Failed Part

Approved claims require the failed part to be returned to Partsyx for inspection unless we provide written authorization stating otherwise.

  • Do not discard the failed part. Discarded parts are not eligible for warranty coverage.
  • Returned parts must be complete and in the same configuration as delivered, with all included components returned.
  • If post-return inspection shows a non-warranty cause, the claim is denied. If denied, the part may be returned to you at your expense.

Shipping Under Warranty

You are responsible for shipping the failed part back to Partsyx for inspection unless we provide written authorization stating otherwise. Outbound shipping for an approved warranty replacement may be covered at our discretion.
